ROSHN Group, Saudi Arabia’s leading multi-asset class developer and a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, in collaboration with Royal Commission for Riyadh City, has unveiled ten Tuwaiq sculptures from The Riyadh Art Permanent Collection hosted by ROSHN Front and SEDRA community, as part of ongoing efforts to bring exceptional local and international artworks into the public sphere. Sculpted by artists from Saudi Arabia and six other nations, these pieces have been thoughtfully installed across both destinations, inviting the public to experience art in open, inclusive, and easily accessible environments.
This initiative reaffirms ROSHN Group’s commitment to integrating art within urban spaces and enhancing the quality of life. The sculptures are free to view and are positioned throughout ROSHN Front and SEDRA community, with seven located at ROSHN Front and three at SEDRA. Four of the pieces were created by Saudi artists—Rajaa AlShafee, Talal Altukhaes, Lamia Moraished, and Essam Jameel—while the remaining works were crafted by international artists during their participation in the symposium in Riyadh 2024.
Held under the auspices of Riyadh Art, Tuwaiq Sculpture is an annual symposium that brings together Saudi and international artists to create public artworks in a live setting. The event also features workshops, school visits, and talks, creating opportunities for public engagement and dialogue. Once completed, the artworks are exhibited throughout the city by Riyadh Art, with the aim of embedding art into the everyday lives of the public.
As one of Riyadh’s most visited retail destinations, ROSHN Front attracts over seven million visitors annually, who will now have the opportunity to view and interact with the sculptures placed around its main entrances. Meanwhile, residents and visitors at SEDRA can explore the three sculptures located near the intermediate school and the mosque in Zone C.
